DICOM announces that its joint venture, Rajshree Dicom Communications Pvt. Ltd., has been awarded a contract by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The contract, titled “SITC of IP Based VCCS Qty-09,” covers the supply and installation of the ICS2020 VCCS across seven airports and two Area Control Centers (ACCs) in Navi Mumbai and Jewar.
This contract supports AAI’s ongoing program to modernize air traffic control communication infrastructure across India. The ICS2020 VCCS — fully compliant with ICAO and EUROCAE ED-137B/C standards — will be deployed at each site to improve the reliability and safety of voice communications for air traffic management operations.
AAI selected the ICS2020 VCCS to address the operational requirements of a rapidly expanding national aviation network. The system’s distributed IP architecture, 1:1 redundancy, and multi-site scalability make it well suited for simultaneous deployment across airport towers and area control centers of varying size and complexity.
DICOM’s selection for the AAI program reflects the ICS2020 VCCS’s track record in competitive civil aviation procurement. The company is focused on delivering all nine sites on schedule and to AAI’s operational requirements.
