CAS2020 – Crash Alarm System

System Overview

The CAS2020 Crash Alarm System is an advanced safety and communication platform designed for airports, emergency response centers, and other mission-critical operations. In particular, it enables rapid alert distribution and coordinated communication during critical incidents.

Built on a VoIP architecture, CAS2020 fully complies with ICAO and ED-137/ED-153 standards. As a result, operators can integrate HF, VHF, and UHF radios, intercom systems, analog telephones, and IP phones into a unified emergency communication workflow.

To ensure uninterrupted performance, engineers equipped the platform with redundant power supplies, dual Ethernet networks, and a Linux-based distributed software architecture. Consequently, airports benefit from high reliability and scalability. Additionally, continuous 24/7 availability further supports emergency readiness across facilities of all sizes.

Furthermore, the Crash Alarm System is designed to support flexible deployment across different airport environments. It enables seamless coordination between emergency services, air traffic control, and airport operators during critical events. Therefore, organizations can deploy CAS2020 confidently within both regional and international airport infrastructures.

Key Feature

  • Provides automatic and manual collision alerts, including crash buttons, emergency signals, and fire alarms, with configurable tones distributed across operator panels, loudspeakers, sirens, and external systems.
  • Enables multi-zone public address broadcasting with scheduled message playback and simultaneous transmission to radios and telephones.
  • Supports integrated intercom and telephony functions, including direct access, speed dialing, call transfer, forwarding, queuing, and multi-party conferences (up to 20 participants).
  • Allows full radio communication control over HF, VHF, and UHF channels, with quick-select functions (RX ALL, TX ALL), squelch indicators, and failsafe PTT timeout alerts.
  • Includes short-time recording capability of up to 30 minutes for radio and telephony calls, with timestamped playback and file management.
  • Ensures redundant and resilient operation through dual power supplies, dual Ethernet (Active/Backup or PRP modes), SNMP monitoring, and built-in self-tests (BITE).
  • Offers web-based management tools for centralized configuration, firmware updates, backup and restore, and end-to-end system monitoring.
  • Delivers scalable architecture through distributed IP design, enabling flexible deployment from regional airfields to international airports with WAN connectivity for remote sites.
  • Provides multi-language interface support, including English, Vietnamese, or customized options per client requirements.

Applications

  • Supports airports and air traffic control (ATC) by enhancing flight safety through instant collision alerts and integrated communication.
  • Enables emergency services, including fire, rescue, and ambulance teams, to coordinate rapid responses through real-time broadcasting and alarm activation.
  • Provides command and control centers with reliable multi-channel communication across radio, intercom, and telephony systems in mission-critical environments.
  • Strengthens defense and government agencies by securing robust communication infrastructure for critical national and security operations.
