DICOM has successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the “SITC of IP Based VCCS Qty-09” project, awarded by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). This milestone marks a key stage in the delivery of the ICS2020 Voice Communication Control System (VCCS) — DICOM’s fully IP-based, ED-137B/C compliant platform for air traffic control towers and area control centers.
The FAT is a critical phase in any large-scale deployment, involving structured testing to verify that all systems meet the functional, technical, and quality requirements defined by the customer. The successful completion of this phase reflects DICOM’s commitment to delivering communication systems that meet the standards required by civil aviation authorities.
With FAT completed, the project moves into the supply, installation, and commissioning phases across seven airports and two Area Control Centers (ACCs) in Navi Mumbai and Jewar. The ICS2020 VCCS deployments will strengthen AAI’s voice communication infrastructure to meet the operational demands of India’s expanding aviation network.
This milestone reflects the technical capability of DICOM’s engineering team, whose structured approach to system integration and testing has been central to meeting AAI’s requirements. The focus now shifts to the timely execution of the remaining deployment phases across all nine sites.
The AAI program represents one of the largest ICS2020 VCCS deployments in the Asia-Pacific region, and reinforces DICOM’s position as a global manufacturer of mission-critical communication systems for ANSPs, civil aviation authorities, and international airports.
